r ~ <br />~~_ ~ ~ , <br />,t .°.. ~ PUBLIC NOTICE~~ , ~ ~:~;~ , .~ <br />Trapper Mining Inc. intends to renew and revise its surface coal mining permit (CDMG Permit No. C-81- <br />010, approved 12/31/97) to project future permit term activifies (2003 to 2007). This action is being <br />proposed as permit renewal and revision RN-04/PR-05. Projected acrivities include disturbing an additional <br />332 acres within the approved permit area to add new mine pits and advance current pits. The present <br />permit allows for a pond spillway and flume to be within 100 feet of a section of County Road 107. All <br />reviews and comment periods as provided in the Act and Regulations promulgated thereunder initiate from <br />this date of filing. Trapper Mine is located 6%z miles south of Craig, Colorado. The specific area to which <br />this proposed permit revision applies is: <br />TSN, R90W Portions of Sections 5 and 6. <br />TSN, R91 W Portions of Sections 1, 4, and 5 <br />Sections 2 and 3, All. <br />T6N, R90W Portions of Sections 30 and 32. <br />Section 31, All. <br />T6N, R91 W Portions of Sections 21, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 32 <br />Sections 33, 34, 35, and 36, All <br />The Castor Gulch USGS 7.5-minute quadrangle map contains the location of the affected azea. The subject <br />renewaUrevision is available for public inspection at the Moffat County Courthouse, 221 W. Victory Way, <br />Craig, CO.
