~' 5. All persons who attended the Informal Conference as an objector to the application, and did not submit anything written within the five wrorking days following the Informal Conference. All written materials were to have been received by 8/27/99. There have been numerous persons who submitted timely written objections to this application who have chosen [o not be parties to this matter. This group of people were those wlio have sent written requests to be withdrawn as a party- or that [hey not be considered as narties. These "interested persons" will continue to be apprised of application developments as a courtesy, but henceforth will not be afforded party status in regard to consideration of their obiections, or be admitted as parties at the Pre-hearin¢ Conference, nor will time be allotted to them at the Formal Public Hearing, esceat as members of the eeneral public. Several persons attended the Informal Conference in support of the application, who had not previously submitted written objections. These "interested persons" will likewise be kept apprised of application developments. On 8/24/99 this office deterniined that the applicant satisfied the requirements of the 1 l2 conversion application. The Division will recommend to the Mined Land Reclamation Board that the conversion application (CN-02) be approved. The Pre-hearing Conference is for the purposes of identifying all parties to be admitted to the Hearing, and which items are to be issues to be heard. Since there is only one objector, [lie need for convening aPre-hearing Conference has been eliminated. The necessary matters of the conference will be conducted by telephone, as agreed by the parties. The matter of the Board decision on the application will be made during a Formal Public Hearing, which has been scheduled for the September 22-23, 1999, Board meeting. It will begin at 9:00 a.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter can be considered. The Board meeting location will be Room 318 of the Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado.
