i
•
within 60 days of the pre-Board meeting or no later than 5 P.M. on
December 11, 1995.
Objections to the amendment application have been received by the
Division and are listed below. Objections identified in the
Informal Conference and the Pre-Hearing Conference will be
considered during the October 18-19, 1995 Board Hearing.
List of Objections:
1. The operation is located in close proximity to an area where
complaints concerning water levels in alluvial wells have been
received. If dry mining is approved, it will adversely affect
the alluvial wells in the area.
2. The State of Colorado has not, in the past, been responsive to
citizen complaints concerning the damages to water wells from
gravel mining activities.
3. Mitigation of damages has been left up to Adams County and in
some cases, the generosity of the mining company.
Please call me with any questions.
Sincerely,
/''~ ~~
Gary S.CUrtiss
Environmental Protection Specialist
enclosures: bond calculations to operator
prehearing conference notice to all parties
CC: Carl Mount, DMG
Curt Coppage
CAMAS America, Inc.
3609 South Wadsworth Blvd.
Lakewood, CO 80235
attached list of objectors
CERTIFIED MAIL NO.
