This information <br />can now be found on page 1.0-1 in the reorganized permit document. <br />V. Topsoil <br />1. The maps entitled, Topsoil Removal Plan and Topsoil Replacement <br />Plan (now Maps 56 and 57 respectively) have not been updated to <br />reflect current mine facility configurations and topsoil removal <br />and replacement plans for the facilities area as requested in the <br />Division's April 9, 1991 preliminary adequacy review. MCC should <br />provide the Division with updated versions of these maps. <br />2. Upon review of MCC's reorganized permit document, topsoil <br />stockpile locations can be found on Map 53, Distribution of Surface <br />Facilities and Approximate Topsoil Volumes can be found in Table 47 <br />on page 2.05-40 in Volume 1. However, the locations listed in the <br />Table should correspond to the topsoil piles shown on Map 53. <br />Also, the stockpiles should be shown on the map with a definitive <br />boundary. Also, subsoil piles should be shown on the map and <br />volumes need to be listed in Table 47. <br />3. MCC should submit a sampling plan to determine compliance with <br />topsoil depth replacement requirements on the facilities areas and <br />the waste pile (Rule 2.05.4(2)(e)(vii)). <br />V2. Surface Hydrology <br />1. <br />A. Upon review of MCC's reorganized permit document, Map 54 <br />shows the drainage control plan for the West Elk Mine. Tables 43 <br />and 44 contain specification designs for diversion and collection <br />channels and collection pipes. However, Map 54 does not show the <br />corresponding number for the ditches and culverts, preventing the <br />two sources of information to be used together. Please provide the <br />Division with a drainage map showing the numbers, from Tables 43 <br />and 44, associated with each ditch and pipe. <br />B. Upon review of MCC's reorganized permit document, designs for <br />culverts along the Sylvester Gulch drainage are included in Exhibit <br />42, Volume 7, and is no longer an issue. <br />C. Have all culverts identified in the Division's preliminary <br />adequacy review of April 9, 1991, been included in Table 44? If <br />
