Exhibits A and E - Enlarged map enclosed.
3. Exhibit B - There are no permanent man-made structures within
200 feet of the present or proposed mining areas.
4. Exhibit D - W'e plan to follow Soil Conservatfon Service
recommendations concerning the reclamation plan. Backfilled
and regraded areas will blend with existing topography except
where rock ledges are too steep and backfilling would not be
practical and the ledges were from past mining operations.
5. Exhibits D and E - Blasting is estimated at a minimum of two
per year, maximum eight per year. Holes are four feet deep
with maximum :>hot of 12 holes to contain 4 sticks 40% dynamite
or 1/3 stick per hole and 12 ounces ampho per hole. The
average shot is 6 holes - 2 sticks of dynamite or 1/3 stick
per hole and 12 ounces ampho per hole.
Our purpose for blasting is just to loosen the stone not to
pulverize it. It is to our advantage to keep the stone to as
large as possible pieces for our use. The noise can be nbated
using electric caps instead of primer cord. In these small
shots no damage to adjoining properties can be expected. We
blasted once in the last 6 months.
