<br />~anks and Gesso, LLC <br />The alluvial deposit to be mined varies in thickness from zero to thirty-one feet in <br />depth, averaging 14.4 feet. It varies from fine sand and gravels in the upper <br />zones, to coarse sand and larger cobbles near bedrock. It has a reputation for <br />being processed into high-quality concrete aggregates, asphalt aggregates, and <br />other construction materials. <br />The underlying bedrock on the property is the Pierre Shale, which has been <br />successfully utilized in compacted clay liner construction. Depth to shale ranges <br />from eight to thirty-four feet, averaging 22.4 feet. <br />(g) Primary and Secondary Commodities <br />The primary commodity to be extracted is the alluvial sand and gravel. It will be <br />processed and sold as concrete aggregates and other construction aggregates. <br />The secondary commodities to be sold, subject to reclamation requirement <br />quantities, are topsoil/overburden and excavated shale materials. <br />(h) Incidental Products <br />The Applicant anticipates no incidental product sales resulting from this project. <br />Some of the concrete materials will be processed on-site as rip-rap materials for <br />pit-side slope protection. <br />Brighton Mine Amendment 17 20007WD <br />CAMAS Colorado, INC.
