Of the 42.7 acres that aze currently not reclaimed, <br />approximately 34 acres of disturbance aze associated with the approved petzt>artent facilities, so only <br />approximately 9 acres of minor road and pond reclamation remain. <br />Kerr completed revegetation success monitoring for reclaimed mine areas in 1996 and 1999. Kerr has <br />ako maintained an ongoing post-reclamation management program consisting of regular inspections <br />of reclaimed areas, stabilization or repair of rills, gullies, and terraces, noxious weed control measures, <br />and grazing. <br />1.4 BOND INFORMATION AND STATUS <br />The current reclamation bond (Bond No. 13-20-11) for the Mam Mute, in the amount of $1,817,911 is <br />backed by the National Union Fire Insurance Company of Pittsburgh, Pa. The total original bond <br />amount for the Mart Mme was $5,500,000. The current bond amount reflects previous DMG <br />approvak of a bond reduction request in the amount of $989,356 (approved July 1995) and a Phase I <br />bond release in the total amount of $2,692,733 (approved July 1995 (720 Pit - $2,171,216) and January <br />1996 (Pit 1 - $521, 517)). <br />2.0 BOND RELEASE REQUEST <br />2.1 BOND RELEASE AREAS <br />Phase I partial bond release is requested for the 6.9 acres reclaimed during 1999 in the Kerr I.oadout <br />Area for completion of final backfilling, grading, and drainage control in compliance with the <br />approved reclatnauon plan and in accordance with applicable provisions of Rule 3.03.1(2)(a). The <br />proposed Phase I partial bond release area u delineated on Map 2. The proposed bond release area <br />does not include any alluvial valley floors, croplands, or prime farmlands. <br />Phase R partial bond release u requested for a total of 172.6 acres in the 720 Pit and Pit 1 reclaimed <br />areas where Phase I bond release has already been approved and vegetation has been successfully <br />reestablished to support the approved postntinutg land use and in compliance with applicable <br />revegetation success cover standards. The proposed Phase II partial bond release areas are delineated <br />on Map 1.
