<br /> <br />TIMETABLE OF CLOSURE TASKS--COALDALE, COLORADO <br />YEAR 1997 <br />TASK #1-- Revegetation work on North Waste Dump and Senatore Hill Waste Dump--maintain <br />seedlings planted in 1995, reseed 20 acres of dumps with grass and legume seed mix, remulch <br />waste dumps, revegetation maintenance over 60 acres of established reclamation areas. <br />TASK #2--Gypsum veneer removal--Gold Hill Area-- bar down and blast where necessary to <br />remove unstable weathered gypsum from footwall contact along the upper reaches of Gold Hill. <br />Crane operation with drop weight may be employed to knock down weathered gypsum left on <br />the limestone footwall contact. <br />TASK #3--Mine bench removal via drilling and blasting followed by bulldozer work to remove <br />existing mine benches along footwall contact above 6930' elevation. Mine benches will be taken <br />to 1:1 rock talus slope. A catchment berm will be dozed along the base of the highwall/rock <br />slope area to contain any rock which may move down slope. Approximately 25000 tons of <br />gypsum/anhydrite will be drilled and blasted. 5000 tons of rock will be bulldozed to complete <br />this final reclamation task. <br />YEAR 1998 <br />TASK # 1--Titanium Hill--southem end of mined land --mine bench removal and bulldozing to <br />result in talus rock slopes of no greater than 1:1. Revegetation via grass and shrub seeding and <br />mulching where planting media exists. Removal of core drilling roadways, regrading, and <br />revegetation of Titanium Hill. 10000 tons of rock drilled and blasted, up to 25000 tons of <br />material bulldozed to grade old mine loading areas and rock slopes. <br />TASK #2--Revegetation of North End Dump and Senatore Hill Dump out slope via tree and <br />shrub plantings from Colorado State Forest Service and from custom grown stock derived from <br />on site progeny. Expand irrigation system to cover outslope of Senatore Hill. Maintain and <br />promote vegetation on all reclaim areas via broadcasting of grass and legume seed and mulch <br />applications. Remove roadways not critical for access to central part of ore body. <br />TASK #3--Remove southem exposure of Copper Hill/Gold Hill contact. Drill and Blast app. <br />20800 tons of rock and bulldoze app. 3000 tons to leave 1:1 talus rock slope. <br />
