M-88-037 <br />AMENDMENT NO. 001 <br />INFORMAL CONFERENCE <br />(AUGUST 14, 1996) <br />ADDITIONAL ISSUES OF CONCERN <br />It has been stated that the surrounding land uses have been mis-characterized since the location <br />of the Sunset Ridge Subdivision was not specifically mentioned in the original submittal. The <br />existence of the subdivision has been duely noted with proper notification to property owners, <br />location of land owners of property within 200 feet of affected lands on the Pre-Mining Plan <br />Map, and discussion at the Informal Conference. <br />There has been some misunderstanding of the west property boundary in the area of the curve - - <br />in the County road. The land owner has supplied information supporting their claim that the <br />western property boundary is a straight line from the north-west corner of the property (located <br />in the center of the road right -of--way) to the south-west comer of the property (located in the <br />center of the road right-of--way). This line is depicted on the revised maps. <br />Ms. Gaston has stated that some overburden has encroached onto her property along the <br />southern boundary of the site. The applicant suggests that this allegation be investigated by the <br />applicant and Ms. Gaston, and if this condition exists reasonable reparations be made by the <br />operator. <br />15 <br />
