PAGE TWO
SEPTEMBER 19, 1991
SUSAN MORRISON
3. to establish adequate room for installation of the overcast and the belt conveyor
in the East Mains, and
4. to establish adequate room to resume mining in the East Mains Section at a later
date.
In order to fulfill the objectives outlined above, WFU hereby requests CMLRD for the approval of
a technical revision to the permit for an incidental change in the permit boundary. Attached
Exhibit "A° gives a description of the area to be added to the permit boundary. The area is shown
hatched in the attached sketch.
The activities in the incremental area will be limited to underground development only. No
surface activity or disturbance will occur. No impact to vegetation, soil, wildlife, air, water etc. is
expected. Hence, no reclamation bond will be required.
A draft of the proposed Public Notice, and afilled-in Application form are also enclosed. A copy
of the federal lease COC 51551 will be submitted to CMLRD as soon as the lease document is
received by WFU. Both coal and surface are owned by the federal government.
Timely approval of this request is very important. Western Fuels-Utah urges that the application
be expedited for the earliest approval. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
Sincerely,
~~r ~~.~~
Murari Shrestha
Senior Engineer
MS:Igp
ce: Don L.
