Daniel MatSnvr
Ditdrion ofMinerak anAGeoloy+~
SeptemGer 1, 2004
Page 7
• 24. Item Resolved
2.05.4/2)0 Revegetation
25. The Division bad originally requested that Exhibit 22-7A Postmining Vegetation Map II-W South Mining
Area be certifred. While thin map is an important component of the reclamation plan given the multiple seedmixe r,
and shrub and tree planting areas, with implications concerning wildlife habitat valuer, the map is not specifically
required by Rule 2.10. Ar such, it is not dear that the regulations require the map to be certified by a gual~ed
registered professional engineer or professional geologist. . We would recommend that the map be
certified, (with reasonable and appropriate caveats as previously discussed), hot we will
not require such cerritcation.
Response: At this time SCC respectfully declines to certify this map.
If the Division has any further comments or questions, please contact me at (970) 276-5227.
Sincerely,
"/~
Roy A.
