Undisturbed Areas to be Mined -- Northerly-facin¢ Slopes <br />North-slope environment vegetation is expressed to some extent or <br />another over the affected area in small select micro-environments but large <br />areas are absent on all but the Phase 1 area. The vegetation community is <br />dominated by a conifer overstory of 3 to 20 inch diameter (at breast <br />height) trees; small seedling Douglas fir are locally common.
