r1 <br />LJ <br />October 2004 <br />-7- <br />043-2170 <br />2.0 SUMMARY OF EARTHWORK CONSTRUCTION <br />Earthworks activities associated with the Phase IVc OSA included the following: <br />• Underground workings remediation, including excavation, confirmatory drilling, <br />installation of CSB, FSB, CP, CR, SF, and geogrid; <br />• Secondary underdrain construction, including trench excavation, and installation of <br />UF, SSF, and geosynthetics; <br />• Leak Detection system construction, including trench excavation; installation of <br />pipe, LDF, and geosynthetics; <br />• Surface water diversion channel construction, including installation of CSP, IIDPE <br />pipe, structural concrete, and PBM; <br />• Site grading, including cutlfill and blasting; <br />• OSA subgrade preparation; <br />• <br />• SLF installation, placement and compaction, depth verification testing, and <br />preparation of SLF surface for geomembrane deployment; <br />• OSA composite liner system installation, consisting of geomembrane and SLF; <br />• Placement ofHVSCS pipes; and <br />• DCF placement over previously-installed geomembrane. <br /> <br />Ames generally used the following equipment during the 2004 construction season: <br />• .
