DEC-19-00 TUE 11 02 AM SRK_~ SULT[NG DEN FAH N0. 30~ 5 9947 <br />NONIOUS WEED CONTROL PLAN <br />LONGMONT DISTELL OPERATIONS <br />in order to control lire invasion and spread of noxious weeds, a comprehensive weed <br />managenent plan will be employed at the Longmont Distetl Operations, including <br />preventative, chemical and mechanical controls. This plan addresses the action to be <br />taken by Aggregate Industries persomiel, as needed, to control and prevent the infestation <br />of the following noxious weeds identified on the subject property and/or recognized by <br />Weld County: <br />Canada Thistle <br />Music Thistle <br />Leafy Spurge <br />Field Bindweed <br />Russian Knapweed <br />Diffuse. Knapweed <br />Scotch Thistle <br />Spotted Knapweed <br />Dalmai ion Toadflax <br />CURRENT WEED MITIGATION <br />1. Site was mowed September 11, 2000. <br />FUTLT2E WEED MITIGATION <br />1. In consultation with qualified vegetation managers and/or county weed <br />coordinators, the site will be assessed in the spring to determine best management <br />practices for week control. <br />2. A combination of timed mowings and herbicide treatments will be utilized to <br />control weeds. <br />a. The site will be mowed as necessary throughout the year in order to <br />establish new grass and to control weeds. <br />b. An aggressive mowing program will be employed the first year following <br />revegetation of an area, withholding herbicide use until the following year <br />and to avoid damaging the new seedlings. <br />a Appropriate herbicides will be applied to establish vegetative areas in <br />accordance with recommendations provided by qualified vegetation <br />managcrs and/or county weed control coordinators. <br />3. The site will he evaluated in ]ate summer or fall to determine if any additional <br />treatment is required and to determine if additional grass-seeding is required. <br />P. 05/13 <br />
