Cattany
Division Director
Natural Resource Trustee
The Division has received your 24 February 2006 submittal of Minor Revision 80 and
has the following adequacy questions.
Rule 2.05.3(3) -Mine Facilities
Rule 4.03.3(3) allows for alight-use road to be field designed, as requested in
this submittal. Rule 2.05.3(3)(c), however, requires that a description of the
proposed road, including the road's specifications and an appropriate cross-
section for the proposed road be provided. The Division requests Colowyo
to submit permit text that includes a description and specifications for the
proposed light-use road as well as an appropriate cross-section for the
road.
2. Rule 2.05.3(3)(c)(i) requires specifications for each road width, road gradient,
road surface, road cut, fill embankment, culvert, bridge, drainage ditch, and
drainage structure. Rule 4.03.3(3) allows for the operator to field-design a
light-use road. Therefore, to demonstrate compliance with Rule 4.03.3,
the Division requests that Colowyo submit an as-built certification for the
proposed road, upon completion, to document the requirements of the
above Rule. The Division requests that this as-built certification be
submitted no later than 30-days after completing the construction of the
proposed road.
Office of Office of Colorado
Mined Land Reclamation Active and Inactive Mines GErological Survey
