48. Rule 2.04.3(2)(a): Map 3 (certified 4/1/97) appears to depict the pre-mining land use for all of Section 19, TSN, R86W, as "Pastureland". If [his is true. there are several heavy solid drawn in Section t9 on the Map lines that appear unnecessary. Please remove theses heavy solid lines if they no longer serve a purpose. 49. Rule 2.04.3(2)(a): Map 3 (cenified 4/1/97) contains an old boundary for the Foidel Creek mine, designated in the Legend as "Permit C-056-82 Boundary". It appears that this boundary should be removed from the Map, as it appears that this boundary is no longer valid. 50. Rule 2.04.3(2)(a): Map 3 (certified 4/1/97) contains a boundary identified in the map's Legend as "Permit Revision Boundary". It appears that this reference in the legend should be revised to "Permit Boundary". Please revise [his, if our interpretation is correct. S 1. Rule 2.04.3(2)(a): Please correct any other errors, discrepancies, and outdated items on Maps 3 (certified 4/1/97) and 3A (certified 4/3/93) that have not been previously identified. 52. Rule 2.04.3(2)(a): Map 3 (certified 4/1/97) and Map 3A (certified 4/3/93) appear to indicate that the predominant pre-mining land use within the current Foidel Creek Mine permit boundary is "Pastureland". It is stated on existing permit page 2.04-3 (rev. 10/02/97), in the section entitled "Croplands", however, that "Within the proposed permit area, cropland is the predominant pre-mining land use". It appears that this permit text statement may need to be revised, so that the permit text is more consistent with the information presented in Maps 3 and 3A. Please address. 53. Rule 2.04.3(2)(a): Map 3 (certified 4/1/97) and Map 3A (cenified 4/3/93) appear to indicate that the predominant pre-mining land use within the Foidel Creek Mine permit boundazy is "Pastureland". It is stated on existing permit page 2.04-4 (rev. 10/02/97), in the section entitled "Pasturelands", however, that "Examination of Map 3, Premining Land Use, reveals that pastureland, including reclaimed pasture, is the second most extensive pre-mining land use within the proposed permit area". It appears that this permit text statement may need to be revised, so that the permit text is more consistent with the information presented in Maps 3 and 3A. Please address. 54. Rule 2.04.3(2): Please update existing permit pages 2.04-6 through 2.04-8, to revise references to activities in the Southwest and Eastern mining districts from "being planned" to "implemented" (or "being implemented"), or other such similar corrections in tense. Existing permit pages 2.04-6 through 2.04-8 include discussions of the pre-mining land uses and the associated surface structures (buildings, railroads, public roads, power lines, irrigation facilities, etc) for the Southwest and Eastern mining districts. Please add similar language regarding the Northern mining district. It appears that the place in the permit to begin this new section would be immediately preceding the section entitled "Rule 2.04.4 - Cul[ural and Historic Resource Information" on existing permit page 2.04-8 (rev. 10/02/97).
