Trapper Mine 1992 Annual Report fIR-63) •
Response to Adequacy Review Comments
Page 7 -June, 1993
•
` ~ Tranner Response:
(~\\ 7.0-2. The statement should have read "...early 1993." A replacement page is enclosed.
v CDMG Comment:
7.0-3. The Division recottunends using prostrate alfalfa if Trapper would like to increase the
amount in the Range site B and the drillsite, roadsite, and sediment dam seed mix.
This will m;n;mi~e competition problems.
7.0-4. Due to its extremely competitive natttre, crested wheatgtass is no longer recom-
mended for use. The Division suggests replacement with Great Basin Wildrye,
Mountain Brome, or another native grass species.
Traocer Resnonse:
7.0-3,4. As recommended, crested wheatgrass has been deleted from the Range Site C and
drill sites, roadsides and sediment dams seed mixes. Enclosed are replacement
pages 3-149e and 3-149g for these mixes. An additional .5 lbs of stteambank
`~ wheatgtass replaced the crested wheatgtass component in the Range Site C mix;
• crested wheatgtass was not replaced in the drill sttes mix since it was felt that the
grass component of this mix still contained sufficient quantity and diversity with
the retraining grass species.
FVL7'b
(DMGUUNEl7]
