Special Use Permit No. 2002-005 Amendment -Conner Pit # 2 SUP 609 <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />will continue to work with the applicant to identify any needed improvements to this haul route in terms <br />of functionality and safety prior to their beginning operations for the Beeman Pit. <br />If the Planning Commission wishes to approve this amendment to SUP 609, we would request that the <br />following conditions be placed upon that approval. <br />1. The haul route for this operation shall be along Cortner Road east to South Road to <br />Lane 36 then north to the State Highway. <br />2. The applicant shall continue to apply a dust palliative, as determined by the County <br />Public Works Department, to Cortner Road, from the pit entrance east to South Road. <br />This dust palliative will be applied only when the applicant is hauling on the above <br />described roadway section. <br />3. The applicant shall repair in good workmanlike manner any damage caused by their <br />operation, to those sections of Cortner Road, South Road and 36th Lane used as a haul <br />route, as determined by the County Public Works Department. <br />4. Repairs shall include, but not be limited to, patching potholes and restoring the road to a <br />condition as good as, or better than existed prior to commencement of the applicants <br />operations under the Special Use Permit. <br />5. The applicant shall be responsible for all traffic control during roadway repairs required <br />in Condition No.10. Prior to commencing any roadway repairs, the applicant shall submit <br />a traffic control plan to Public Works, which has been prepared by a traffic control <br />supervisor certified by the American Traffic Safety Services Association, Inc. No <br />roadway repairs will be started prior to approval of the traffic control plan by Public <br />Works. <br />6. Prior to commencing any roadwork repairs, the applicant shall show evidence of a valid <br />and in force Bodily Injury and Property Damage Liability Insurance Policy, with minimum <br />limits of six hundred thousand dollars ($600,000.00) per occurrence and 1.2 million <br />dollars ($1,200,000.00) general aggregate. Such policy shall be for the protection of the <br />County from all suits, actions, or claims of any type for injuries or damages allegedly <br />sustained by any person or property on the premises or as a result of the operations of <br />the work.
