This amendment is <br />simply a change in mining direction and an increase of affected area. All of section 36 <br />was previously approved for miniltg (with an approved reclamation plait) by the Colorado <br />Division ofl~4inerals and Geology on 1 July, 1997. This section does not boarder Fort <br />Carson, is over two miles ti'om the nearest part of Fort Carson, and is very steep, rough <br />terrain that was never suitable for human habitat.
