The U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 minute quadrangle map, Hayden Gulch, Colorado, contains the area associated with this Final Bond Release request. 14. A Permit Area Map with Bond Release Request Area Delineated.' • Map 1, Kayden Gulch Mine Permit Boundary and Revegetation Sequence, shows the locations of the four parcels that define the surface lands in Permit C-80-003 that this bond release request covers. I5. Dates Reclamation Work Performed: ' • Map 1 includes a revegetation schedule that indicates the year the revegetation activities were completed. The Phase IUPhase III Bond Release Application (HGCC, 1998) includes a map (Map 1, Phase II/Phase III Bond Release Map) that shows the backfilling and grading schedule. The area around Parcel HG-8 was reclaimed (backfilled and graded) and originally revegetated in 1982; the azea azound Pazcel E was reclaimed (backfilled and graded) and originally revegetated in 1984-1985; the former highwall area was originally reclaimed (backfilled and graded) and revegetated in 1986. The former highwall slump stability work, which included minor grading, was completed in 1998. The reclamation {backfilling and grading) and original revegetation activities were completed around Parcel 003 in 1987. As noted above, Parcel E, Parcel HG-8 and Pazcel 003 were excluded from the 1998 Phase II/Phase III bond release request because these areas were intensively planted with shrub seedlings as part of the shrub augmentation program implemented under TR-62. The initial shrub seedling planting occurred in 1996. Additional seedlings were planted in 1997, The highwall area disturbance created during the slump mitigation program was re-seeded with a herbaceous seed mix in 1998.
