Numerous sightings of elk, deer, antelope, sharp- <br />tailed grouse, song birds and water fowl have been reported. Pazcel E and Pazcel <br />HG-8 aze popular with sharp-tailed grouse; birds have been observed in these <br />enclosures consistently over the past three or four yeazs. In addition, the golden <br />current and Woods rose, which are especially prevalent in Parcel E and Parcel HG- <br />8, have been producing a bumper crop of bemes and rose hips over the past several <br />yeazs. These "fruits" serve as a major food source for numerous avian species. <br />The preference for the area displayed by wildlife demonstrates that the post-mine <br />land uses have been achieved. <br />5. Surface and Groundwater Quantity and Quality Impact Analysis: <br />• Not applicable -The 1998 Phase IUPhase IIi Bond Release Application included a <br />surface and groundwater quantity and quality impact analysis (TerraMatrix, 1998), <br />CDMG's acceptance and approval of the impact analysis is documented through <br />the elimination of all surface and groundwater monitoring requirements and the <br />subsequent Phase II/Phase III bond release (CDMG, 1499}. <br />6. Subsidence Impact Analysis: <br />• Not applicable -The Hayden Gulch Mine was a surface mine and consequently <br />there has been no subsidence associated with underground mining activities. <br />
