Hydroloay
Please provide the actual well completion details for gob vent borehole WDI-C, when the
information becomes available.
The Division has no further concerns. The completion diagrams will be provided.
If there is additional hydrologic information concerning water bearing zones that is
available from the recent drilling program, please update Map 10, Upper Perched Water
Zone, and Mnp 11, Lower Perched Water Zone with that data. If appropriate, please
update Section 2.04.7, as well.
The Division has no further concerns. Map 10 and Map 11 were updated in PR-04 with
data from the 2000 drilling program. The 2001 drilling program was only recently
initiated.
5. If additional information is available, please update the probable hydrologic
consequences discussion in Section 2.05.6 of the permit application as it pertains to the
hydrologic impact of mining on Terror Creek and the irrigation ditches that feed off of it.
The Division has no further concerns. The operator has stated that no update is necessary.
The current discussion concludes that the fault trace is virtually dry. This conclusion is
supported by the most recent investigations.
6. If additional information is available, please update the probable hydrologic
consequences discussion in Section 2.05.6 of the permit application as it pertains to the
hydrologic impact of mining through the fault.
Please refer to the response to question number 5 above.
On page 2.05-73 of Section 2.05.6, it is stated that the operator intends to construct a
pipeline from the mine portal to D Gulch, for the purpose of mine water discharge. The
text also states that the pipeline will be constructed within nine months of the sectoring of
the Iron Point Tract Lease. What is the status of this plan?
BRL has stated that construction of the pipeline will commence within 90 days.
Text and Maps
8. Please provide revised text in Section 2.05 of the permit application that describes the
proposed mine plan c{range, including any additional information, if any, on mining
through the fault.
2
