All issues have been addressed by BRL. The following are the Division's comments:
Subsidence
To validate the separation of potential effects of subsidence from Terror Creek, please
provide a profile of the relationships of the Terror Creek thalweg, the elevation of the
coal seam, the ground surface, and the angle of draw along a line perpendicular to
Terror Creek and passing through the most westerly corner of the proposed longwall
panel WD3.
The Division has no further concerns. The submittal dated August 23, 2001 contained
updated Map 27 and Map 27A, both date stamped August 27, 2001. The information
shows that Terror Creek will not be affected by subsidence.
2. Please advise the Division if cliffs are in the vicinity of the northwest corner of panel
WD3. If so, please provide the Division with revised pages in Exhibit IS that discuss the
anticipated effects of rockfall (rock roll-out) to Terror Creek.
The Division has no further concerns. BRL stated that no geologic hazards are in that
vicinity.
