ALBERT FREI AND SONS, INC. • PAGE 2
BROMLEY PIT - M-79-165
TECHNICAL REVISION
excess topsoil that will have to be disposed in some manner. The amount needed for the
Miller Pit will continue to decline as more area is mined. The Fernald and the Bromley Pits
will remain static as they are currently being reclaimed. We propose committing 15,140 cy
of this excess topsoil for use on the Bromley Pit. The topsoil would remain on the Miller Pit
until it is used, this will make the haul distance 3500 ft. A Reclamation cost analysis
showing the current bond of $20,500 is adequate to cover the disturbed area is attached for
your review.
We have contracted to purchase the entire parcel currently owned by Mr. & Mrs.
Bromley, including the houses surrounds by the operation. Once that is complete we will be
making an application to Adams county to change the allowed land use. If this is approved
the land will be used as a recycled materials facility and we will be contacting the Division
regarding release of the permit.
Enclosed is a check for $150.00 to cover the Technical Revision fee. If you have any
questions regarding this TR please call me at the above number or Steve O'Brian at 423-
7297.
Sincerely,
Albert Frei and Sons, Inc.
Albert R.
