Permit # M-79-165
This Technical Revision is submitted to address the lake of adequate topsoil needed on
the site for resoiling purposes. Please refer to the map exhibit attached for the location of
the area discussed in the following text. The inspection report dated April 3, 1996 outlined
the amount of topsoil on the site at that time and supplied an estimated amount we needed to
make up so there would be a minimum of 12 inches of topsoil on the reclaimed area. The
inspection report called for obtaining or increasing the bond to allow for purchasing 17, 883
cy of topsoil. We have resoiled 1.70 acres ± on the northern side of the site with the
required 12" of topsoil. The following table accounts for the remaining topsoil needed to
resoil the site.
AREA AC. CY
TOTAL AREA 13.0 20,973
EXISTING PILES -3,090
NORTH AREA 1.7 -2,743
REMAINING 11.3 15,140
As you know we operate 2 other mining sites in the immediate area of this site. All
three share the same access road off Colorado Blvd. The Miller pit (M-81-096) is being
mined at this time and there is an excess of topsoil on the site. The most recent analysis
indicated there is 66,700 cy stored on that site. As of this date we have to retain 23,275 cy
for the Miller Pit, and 23,667 cy for the Fernald Pit (M-77-011). This leaves 19,758 cy of
