Homestake does not consider injection of a tracer behind the plug, as <br />suggested in your item 3, to be a definitive way of monitoring potential effects of the adk <br />plug for the following reasons: <br />Tracers would provide information only on a small segment of the flow path <br />within the Creede Formation, not quantitative water quality information. <br />Water quality monitoring in Windy Gulch will be needed for some period of <br />time whether a tracer is used or not. Since water qualrty impacts are the <br />issue of concern, water quality monitoring should be the focus. <br />
