The revision was submitted by Powderhorn Coal Company. Article 33, <br />1999, an application <br />for the purposes of <br />comment periods as <br />This revision describes a revised water handling and detention plan for the Roadside North Portal mine, <br />to prevent future TSS exceedances at Discharge Point 004. The plan was submitted in response to NOV <br />CV-99-007 Abatement Step #2, and is to be implemented by October L, 1999. <br />The underground coal mining operation is on land located approximately 5 miles north of Palisade. The <br />permit area is further described as follows: <br />Portions of Sections 20, 21, 22, 23, 26,2 7, 28, 29, 34, and 35, T10S, R98W. 6th PM; Portions of <br />Sections 6, 7, and 18. T11S. R97W, 6th PM; Portions of Sections 1, 2, 1 I, 12. 13, and 14. T11S, R98W, <br />6th PM; Portions of Section 1, T1S, R2E, Ute PM: all in Mesa County. <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute GJuadrangle map of Cameo. <br />A copy of the technical revision application is available far public inspection at the Mesa County <br />Courthouse, Box 20,000, Grand Junction, CO 81501, and at the Division office.
