3.1.3 Time Limit and Phased Reclamation
The operator will carry reclamation to completion with all reasonable diligence
operations. This is not a phased operation. Reclamation will follow minin
operationally feasible. This is a low volume pit except for times when more mate
for CDOT projects in this area.
3.1.4 Public Use
The operator does not plan on opening this area to public use. Public use would
around the equipment involved in this type operation.
3.1.5 Reclamation Measure -Material Handling
(1) Grading shall be carried on so as to create final topography appropriate
use selected as the Reclamation Plan.
(2) When back£Iling is part of the plan....
consistent with
as closely as
al is demanded
undue risks
the final land
No backfilling is proposed for this operation. The backsloping on the pit perim ters will be an
integral part of the mining operation. Mining will proceed into the vertical pit fac (8' - 10') until
it has reached what will be the toe of the backslope. The balance of the mining ill be done at
2H:1 V as described eazlier. There are no known acid-forming or toxic materials own that could
be leached.
(3) All grading will be done in a manner to control erosion and siltation of the affected lands
to protect areas outside the affected lands from slides and other damage. If not eliminated, all
highwalls, if any, will be stabilized.
The design of the operation will prevent erosion and siltation of the affected lands There will be
no slide areas in this operation, and the only highwalls will be the 8' - 10' pit face which will be
eliminated in reclamation.
(4) All backfilling and grading shall be completed as soon as feasible after the ~ining process.
The applicant shall establish a reasonable timetable consistent with good minin practices and
reclamation procedures.
As stated eazlier, there will be no backfilling. Grading will be performed as reasonably consistent
with mining, stockpiling and equipment movement. Reclamation will follow mint gas closely as
operationally feasible.
(5) There are no refuse, acid-forming or toxic materials that will be mined or handled on site that
could cause unsightliness or affect the drainage system.
