<br />Dear County Commissioners.
<br />The Division of Minerals and Geology (Division) hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Atticle 33, Section 116,
<br />Paragraph4, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on March 22, 1999, an application to revise coal mining operations at the
<br />Colowyo Coal Mine was considered complete for the purposes of feline. The revision was submitted by Colowyo Coal
<br />Company I, P. All review and comment periods as provided in the Act and the Regulations initiate from this date of filing.
<br />This technical revision provides for a reduction in the monitoring of revegetated ores from the 1st, 2nd, and every 3rd year
<br />thereafterafterseedingutttil bond release inspectionsto the 1st, 2nd, and 4th year after seeding until bond release inspections.
<br />TF.e surface coal mining operation is on land located approximately 28 miles south of Craig. The permit area i.s further
<br />described as follows:
<br />All or portions of Sections 2, 3, 4, 3, 9, I0, I I, 14, I5. 16, 17, 20, Z 1 and T3 N, R93 W; and Sections 13, I5, 22. 23, 24, 26, 27,
<br />28. 3? and 34, T4N, R93 W; 6th Prime Meridian.
<br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle maps of Axial & Ninemile Gap.
<br />A copy of the technical revision application is available for public inspection at the Moffat County Courthouse, 221 W V ictory
<br />Way, Craig, CO 81625, and at the Division office. For additional information or to provide written comments, contact [he
