Seed will be drilled and certified weed-free mulch will be applied at the <br />rate of 30001bs per acre, and will be crimped into the soil surface. Commercial starter fertilizer will <br />. be applied at the rate of 20 pounds available nitrogen. <br />Map F shows all the final contours and reclamation areas planned for the site. Map C-3 shows the <br />cross-sections of the reclaimed terrain in comparison with the original terrain. It is seen from this <br />map that the restored land is lower due to the gravel extraction but is more than adequate to achieve <br />the post-mining land use. <br />The landowners desire that the access road remain to maintain entry to the site from Highway 13. <br />Much of this access road is off the permit area. <br />3. Reclamation Timetable <br />Since mining of the new lease area is concurrent with reclamation, the timetable is somewhat tied to <br />the rate of mining in this area. Since actual sales are difficult to predict, the assumption will be made <br />that the operation will mine and sell 100,000 tons of total product per year, on an average, The time- <br />• table in the mining plan also reflects these rates.
