<br />Bowie Resources Limited June 29, 1998 <br />Request for Emergency Drill Hole <br />Cooclusiou <br />The approval of this request to drill an emergency drill hole to verify the extent of a `split' of the <br />coal learn that is currently affecting the performance of the Bowie No. 2 Mine will not adversely <br />affect the environment, threatened and endangered species or habitats, cultural or azcheological <br />features or the hydrology of the nearby azeas. The Division holds sufficient performance bonds to <br />insure the proper sealing and reclamation of this emergency drill hole. The re-disturbance of this <br />previously disturbed azea can be reduced by drilling this emergency drill hole on the access road <br />to DH-13 where agreement has previously been reached for its refurbishing. Adverse economics <br />can be avoided by Bowie Resources Limited by using information gathered from this emergency <br />drill hole. <br />,. <br />
