CN values of 85 over Carracas Loam is developed in Paragraph 2.7 for the Exhibit ~
reference.
5.5.2 Reclaimed State
CN values (85 and 83) were determined for subwatersheds of the East Pit based on
information from the 1996 Vegetation Survey. A CN of 89 is used for the dirt road area
(located on Carracas Loam, a soil with a hydrologic soil profile of 'D", reference Table 5.3
of the SEDCAD+3 documentation).
5.6 Hydrograph Response Shape
See Paragraph 2.5.
5.7 Soil Erodibility Factor (K)
See Paragraph 2.3.
~.8 Control Practice Factor (CP)
x.8.1 Pre-mining State
A CP value of 0.031 is developed in Paragraph 2.8 for the Rangeland Reference Area (1996
Vegetation Survey).
A CP value of 0.182 is developed in Paragraph 2.8 for the Exhibit ~ reference.
A CP of 1.2 is used for the compacted dirt roads.
5.8.2 Reclaimed State
A conservation practice of 1.2 was selected for the din road areas (see Paragraph 2.8).
CP factors for subwatersheds within the East Pit Area are developed in the following tables,
based on information from the 1996 Vegetation Survey (cover includes grasses, litter and
rocks, 1996 Vegetation Survey, from Table S.Sc, CP Factors for Permanent Pasture,
Rangeland, Idle Land, and Grazed Woodland, SEDCAD+ documentation).
Page 18 of 34, 7 Oct 96
