on Nunn Loam (Type C hydrologic Soi] Group), a CN value of 74 is determined from Figure
' S-3.
' 3.6 Hydrograph Response Shape
See paragraph 2.5. A slow response is used for the hay field.
3.7 Soil Erodibility Factor (K)
See Paragraph 2.3. A value of 0.24 is used in this demonstration (the AVF is on Nunn
Loam).
3.8 Control Practice Factor (CP)

3.8.1 Pre-mined State
A CP of 0.019 is appropriate to the AVF in its pre-mined state is (AVF reference area, see
Paragraph 2.8). Based on the description in the Permit documentation (see Paragraph
3.5.1), a CP of 0.03 is selected for a second scenario for the pre-mined state.
3.8.2 Reclaimed State
Two areas of the 1996 Vegetation Survey (1990 and 1991 seedings) are combined to
represent the reclaimed AVF area in this demonstration. The survey indicated a
predominately forb (67%) ground cover with no appreciable canopy of tall weeds, brush, or
trees. The percent ground cover in contact with the ground was 87%. A CP factor of 0.021
for this demonstration is interpolated in the following table (from Table 5.5c of the
SEDCAD+ documentation).
Page 11 of 34, 7 Oct 96
