TR-15 PRELIMINARY ADEQUACY REVIEW COMMENTS
Surface/Mineral owner address typographical error corrected, Appendix A,
page 2 and 3. Item Resolved.
2. Grazing leaseholder information in Appendix A, page 4, and map Figure 1.1-
3dwas properly amended. Item Resolved.
Map figure 1.1-3a was properly amended to identify current fee surface
owners in and adjacent to the permit area. Item Resolved.
4. Compliance Information text in Appendix B was properly updated. Item
Resolved.
5. APCD permit listing in Appendix E was properly updated to list current
APCD permits, and copies of the listed permits were provided. Item
Resolved.
6. Figure 2.1-1 Mine Plan and Sequence Map was properly amended to depict
current extent of mining and projected schedule of mining for approved
operations within the permit boundary. Item Resolved.
Figure 2.1-1 Mine Plan and Sequence Map was properly updated and
amended to correspond to permit text regarding the need for permit revision
prior to future mining within or to the west ofthe graben. Figure 2.2-1
Affected and Disturbed Areas was properly amended to delineate proposed
and current affected areas. Text on pages 2-59 and 2-60 was amended to
correspond to amended tables and text in other sections of the application.
There is one remaining discrepancy; the map scale on amended Figure 2.2-1 is
still listed as 1" = 2000', but the actual scale is 1" = 1000'. Please revise
Figure 2.2-1 to list the correct rnap scale.
8. Support facilities text in various sections of the applications was properly
amended. Item Resolved.
9. Text and map figures and supplemental documentation was provided as
requested to delineate the powerlines within the permit area and to clarify the
powerline sections that will be removed upon reclamation of the mine. The
Division had requested documentation that power lines were constructed in
compliance with Rule 4.18, to minimize electrocution hazards to raptors.
Correspondence from Grand Valley Power indicated that "most of the line
was constructed to these standards", but that a review of the installations
would be conducted and any necessary modifications would be made.
