Adequacy Reviec~ Respcnse.
Following are Trapper Mines comments concern:.szg the Colorado
Mined Land Reclamation Division adequacy revv~~: of technical
revision 49 (4/11/90).
Dravline Repair Pad
Division Concern 1). Trapper will submit a rQVised Facilities
/ Map showing the dragline repair pad constructed at the
Alternative B location as soon as possible.
Division Concern 2). During the tub repair process a cuan*_ity of
/oil and grease is likely to be used, some of which may inadver-
tently spill onto the pad or adjacent land surface (topsoil
stripped areas). Trapper will make every effort to clean up
spills in a timely manner and is accordance with our approved
Spill Prevention and Countermeasure Plan (SPCC). Additionally,
during actual dragline repairs, oil confinement booms will be
installed at the inlets of Coyote pond and East Buzzard pond $1,
if necessary.
Division Concern 3). Trapper is aware of the Division's concern
relating to discharge into the Anfo area small area exemption
drainage. As designed, runoff .from this pad construction would
be directed toward Coyote and/or East Buzzard drainages with no
discharge into the sAE.
/ Division Concern 4). Until actual construction of the pad is
completed the precise location of roadside ditches cannot be
determined. It is likely that some shift in road drainage will
occur. Additionally, a single culvert which allows road access
to adjacent cropland areas will be relocated. All ditches and
culvert will be relocated in the same general vicinity thus would
not constitute a significant change.
P.O. Box 187 Craig. Colorado 81626 (3031 824-4401
