SUBURBAN 8AND AND GRAVEL CD.
APRIL 24, 2003
Exhibit E -RECLAMATION PLAN CHANGES
PACE 3
The proposed change to the Reclamation Plan does not affect
slopes along the north, south and west sides of the mine as shown
on the Reclamation Plan Map. The slopes in the 10 acre parcel
would be mined at their final configuration of 3:1.
The above water slopes would be reclaimed using the same
methods currently approved. This involves resoiling the site
above the final proposed lake elevation, seed with the M.L.R.B.
approved seed mixture, and follow the rehabilitation methods as
described in the existing Reclamation Plan. Revegetation on the
above water areas will begin once the lake level stabilizes.
Since reclamation runs concurrent with mining, we keep the
amount of disturbed area to a minimum as required in the current
bond ($120,000).
Exhibit F -RECLAMATION PLAN MAP
The attached Reclamation plan shows how the mined area will
look when mining is done. The blue area is lake, the green area
is revegetated. By comparing this map with the existing map the
changes will be apparent.
WATER
There are no changes to this section of the permit as ap-
proved. Pit dewatering is currently approved and the mine is
active at this time. A revisions to the Temporary Substitute
Supply Plan (TSSP) will be complete once we have the necessary
approvals, but since our TSSP involves keeping the amount of water
in the pit limited during mining this additional increase of lake
area will have little affect on that plan. It is our understand-
ing that SAWSD plans to line the pit so in the final run needing
makeup water will be moot.
