• <br />I am a professional ornithologist and former President of Aiken Audubon Society I have <br />studied Spotted Owls so I do have some knowledge of this species. I have not submitted <br />objections to this mine prior to now because I didn't feel that the operation would impact <br />this pair of owls. But now with this most recent request I do object. This latest expansion <br />plan will undoubtedly adversely impact a species protected under the Endangered Species <br />Act, leading to a "taking".
