Ms. Joanna Williams
RE: Combined South Platte SSP Renewal
Apri128, 2005
Page 4 oj6
Lined storage is planned after reclamation for these four sites. Any required replacements for lagged
depletions caused when dewatering ceases will be made by the applicant. The timing of any depletion to
the river as a result of the dewatering operation will be estimated using Glover techniques and
incorporated into the final water balance.
SURROUNDING WATER RIGHTS
The following table lists the gravel pit well permits for each of the active sites. No new well permits or
600 foot spacing evaluations will be required.
Site Name Well Permit #
Howe Pit 55604-F
Tanabe Pit 54162-F
Dunes Develo ment 54177-F
Mann Lakes 56354-F
Ft. [n the
unlikely event Lafarge would leave one of these sites, the bond amounts could be used for either
completion of a reservoir liner or backfilling above the groundwater table.
Lafarge will maintain a substitute supply plan for each site until the lined storage is constructed and
approved by the SEO. After completion of the lined storage at the site, there will be no long-term
evaporative depletions requiring augmentation.
Site Name Bond Amount
Howe Pit $328,800
Tanabe Pit $1,105,900
Dunes Develo ment $719,450
Mann Lakes $0
Ft.
