<br />Exhibit G - Water Information <br />The operation is expected to have minimal impact on both <br />surface and groundwater systems beyond what historically exists <br />at the site. The operations will create a rangeland/ recreation <br />area and possibly residential sites upon final reclamation. <br />As noted in Exhibit D, the site has been mined intermittenly <br />since about the 1940's; the depth of the workings have been <br />relatively shallow. <br />The elevation of the water table fluctuates seasonally. <br />According to the previous landowner, the elevation of the water <br />generally reaches its lowest point during the months of February, <br />March, April and May, and to its maximum rise-- to approximately <br />± four feet below the ground surface -- during the summer months. <br />The maximum rise in the elevation of the groundwater appears <br />to follow spring runoff and the irrigation of surrounding pasture <br />lands. <br />It is planned that the pit will be mined primarily during <br />the months of March through September, with some year round <br />work and that the pit will be wet mined when possible. Depending <br />on the maximum depth to be ultimately mined ( anticipated to <br />be about ± 12 feet ) water may be encountered. If water is <br />encountered, the proper permits will be applied for and plans <br />provided for the final useage of the water. <br />An irrigation ditch was shown to cross the eastern portion <br />of the original mining area of the gravel pit. As shown before, <br />the ditch is no longer within the permitted area. <br />There are some probable wetlands located near the gravel <br />pit operations. These areas have been reviewed by the Army Corps <br />of Enqineers and it was determined that the areas were <br />non-jurisdictional due to the fact that mining will remain out <br />of the areas in question by a distance of at least 50'. <br />A copy of their letter is attached. <br />
