Rule 4.07.1(3) provides, in part, that "Development holes drilled within the permit area <br />immediately in advance ojthe active operation jot the purpose ojjurther delineating the economic <br />limits ojthe coal need not be immediately plugged provided [hat s:~ch holes will be mined through <br />in the normal co:u•se ojthe approved operation. " In this regazd, holes 4-94-2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, ] 0, 11, <br />12, 13, 14, 1 ~ and 16 aze indicated in Table 1 of the application as being mined through, but these <br />holes aze located north of the West Pit excavation. They aze within the disturbed area on the <br />Permit Area 1989-1997 Dri11 Hole Information Map of the application. This region would be <br />under the excess spoil West Pit Fill but not necessarily mined through. Please review the <br />management of these holes, and provide the Division with a history of mining in the event they <br />were mined through. In the event these holes were reclaimed, please revise Table 1 as <br />appropriate with closure information. <br />Item 4. The symbols for holes 97-23 and 89-4-5 of the Permit Area 1989-1997 Drill Hole <br />Information Map do not conform to the information of Table I. Please reconcile the <br />discrepancies. <br />Item 5. Holes 97-25 and 89-9-1 O listed in Table 1 do not appear on the Permit Area 1989-1997 <br />Drill Hole Information Map. Please reconcile the discrepancies. <br />]tem 6. Table 1 is a closure report for many wells that are currently within the permit boundary. <br />Please include it as a revised page(s) within the Permit Application Package, footnoted for <br />those wells that have been transferred to an NOI. <br />Again, I appreciate this comprehensive recapitulation of hole status.
