Area 1 - Colorado River Intake Site <br />• <br />Area 1 is comprised of 18 acres. Twelve acres were previously permanently <br />revegetated, and 6 acres will be permanently revegetated during fall 1982. <br />Topsoil which was removed and stockpiled at the intake site during construction <br />has been respread. Completion of the water intake structure is planned for <br />1983. <br />Area 2 - Parachute Facilities <br />Area 2a (Active Terminal) covers 18 acres. One acre, essentially crushed <br />rock roadways and parking areas, will be stabilized by dust suppressants. <br />The other 17 acres consist of buildings and various facilities that will <br />remain in place through 1984. <br />• <br />Area 2b (Inactive Terminal) covers 78 acres. Twenty-eight acres have <br />been previously revegetated, 8 acres temporarily and 20 acres permanently. <br />The remaining 50 acres includes 8 acres of undisturbed steep slopes and <br />42 acres that will be temporarily revegetated during the fall of 1982. <br />No further work is planned through 1984. <br />Area 2d (Mahaffey Ranch) covers 30 affected acres. The 30 acres includes <br />clearing for a security fence and access roads. The topsoil will be re- <br />spread in areas from which it was removed and the areas will be per- <br />manently revegetated during the fall of 1982. No further work is anticipated. <br />• <br />
