It appears as <br />though there is greater diversity but vegetation growing in predominantly <br />gypsum soil is severely stunted compared to that growing in less pure <br />gypsum. Taxonomic identification was difficult due to abnormal growth <br />characteristics. Eurotia lanata, Or~zopsis hymenoides and occasional <br />Atriplex canescens are growing vigorously on the site with high <br />reproductive potential. They will be important revegetation species, <br />particularly due to their protein content and value for wildlife grazing. <br />Attached is a taxonomic list of plants identified on the sites <br />specified: I, C and E. <br />-13- <br />
