~:
Jim McArdle
-2-
(4) Lindauer Meadow Road Culvert--West Fork

November 28, 1984
EXXON reclaimed that portion of the old Lindauer Meadow Colony Project
access road which circled the West Fork portion of Lindauer Meadow, as
a portion of its realignment of the site access road. However,
recently Union Oil Shale removed the original culvert still in place
within the West Fork of Parachute Creek. On a recent inspection visit
to that area, I noted that this area immediately surrounding the
original culvert installation remained to be finally graded and
reclaimed. This minor work should be completed expeditiously early in
the 1985 construction season.
(5) Exhibit D-7
This exhibit should be amended to include the location and construction
detail of the stilling basin installed immediately downslope from the
existing flume at the base of the Middle Fork Mine bench fill.
With the resolution of these relatively minor deficiencies, I believe that the
Colony Shale Oil Project 1984 Amendment Application submitted by EXXON Company
USA is approvable in its geotechnical aspects.
cc: Ed Bischoff
/md
Doc. No. 5657
