Technical Information Requested - Stormwater Manageme:it Plan
(T.H.E. Aggregate Source - Permit No. M-77-193)
1. Stormwater runoff calculations for peak flow and volume of both
the l0 year - 24 hour storm and 100 year - 24 hour storm events for
both the disturbed area watershed and the upland non-disturbed
watershed (6 hour storm events may be substituted as aF~propriate).
2. Average annual sediment loss from the disturbed area.
3. Engineering designs including longitudinal profiles, cross
sections, and plan views of all channels, ponds, culverts,
spillways, or other hydraulic structures, as necessary.
4. Engineering design(s) and construction techniques of any
alternative sediment and/or erosion control structures other than
those specified in item 3 above.
5. A list of all property owners that may be affected by the
proposed Stormwater management plan and their necessary approvals.
6. A commitment to design and build all proposed Stormwater
controls such as channels, ponds, and spillways in such a way as to
minimize impacts to the hydrologic balance within the quarry as
well as the surrounding area.
7. A commitment to have all proposed structures installed and
functioning properly no later than October 31, 1996.
8. Contingency plans for a discharge of excessive storms/ater flows
offsite onto Tunnel Drive. (ie, a 100 year storm event or greater)
9. A commitment to have the construction of all proposed structures
certified by a registered professional engineer.
10. A schematic which shows the flow path of all runoff water from
the upper reaches of the disturbed area, alone the .zaul road,
through the various containment ponds, to the lower reaches of the
disturbed area.
11. A discussion of which structures will be left in place during
final reclamation, which structures will be removed, estimated
construction costs of any temporary structures, and any plans for
stream channel reconstruction during final reclamation.
12. A commitment to cease and desist from any disturba.~ce in the
amendment area until the operator has received Division approval of
an acceptable plan for minimizing impacts to the hydrologic balance
in the quarry and surrounding area during management of Stormwater
runoff and has submitted certifications from a registered
professional engineer that all designed structures have been
constructed and are functioning properly.
M: \oss\Te~a}:.964
