M-I~188-112 <br />Denr Mr. Dillie: <br />This cortespondence is prepared and submitted as Battle Mountain Resources loc. <br />(BMRI) response to the State of Colorado -Division of Minerals and Geology (CDMG) <br />cornspondence dated July 2, 2001 regarding comments, questions or conditions related <br />to BMRI's recent Technical Revision (TR) thirty-one (3l) application. Responses to the <br />various comments, questions and/or conditions presented in the Division's <br />corcespondence ere presented helow. {~ or purposes of clarity each of the written <br />comments presented in the Division's correspondence are repeated. <br />CDMG Comment 1: <br />BMRI's assumption that the Division's comments pertain to water uq amity in the feeder <br />ditch is correct. BMRI shall continue to monitor underdrain flow in the feeder ditch on a <br />monthly basis but may report the data quarterly. <br />Response: BMRI ogrces with the Division's assessment and approval. Therefore, <br />DMRI will continue monthly monitoring of the underdrain flow and initiating with <br />the third qunrtcr 2001 (.luly through September) will begin quarterly reporting of <br />6 the underdrain flows. This quarterly monitoring report will be due to the Division <br />on or before the fifteenth day of the month following the end of each quarterly <br />period (i.e., October IS`h, January 15'I', April 15'I', and June 15"'). <br />CDMG Comment 2: <br />The Division agrees, water quulit~' in the leak detection system shall be monitored <br />quarterly and the constituents shall consist of WAD and total cyanide, copper, zinc, iron, <br />calcium and sodium. <br />, ~t'r: •::r~~~.
