1. On page 2.04-99 of the reorganized application, the last
sentence on the page mentions a soil survey map as Exhibit 55.
This exhibit relates to spring flows. Please identify the correct
map or exhibit.
2. See the table on page 4-15 in comparison to 2.05-40. The
species listed is the same but the pounds pure live seed differs.
Please discuss the discrepancy.
3. on page 2.05-106 the second paragraph states that the locations
of B and E seam monitoring wells are shown on Table 76. There is
no Table 76 included in the new permit volumes. Perhaps, Mountain
Coal Company's intention was to refer to Map 54, "B and E Seam
Monitor Locations for Wells and Springs". Please identify the
correct map or table.
4. In the Index, page xiv, it lists Table 52 on page 2.06-198.
This is incorrect, the table is on page 2.05-80. Please correct.
A. Also, the index lists Table 9, 15, 18, 21, 22, 25, 52, 70,
72, 73 as being on pages that do not exist. Perhaps, my copy is
missing pages. Otherwise, correctly identify the locations of the
above tables. Section 2.06 in Volume 1 of the reorganized
application only includes pages up to 2.06-i1.
5. There are three volumes included with the old permit volumes
(Volumes 8, 9, and l0) that contain information regarding minor
revisions and technical revisions that have been processed over the
years. Most of these MRs and TRs were found in the volumes, but
not all. Does Mountain Coal Company want to include all MRs and
TR's? If not, why were certain ones included, and others excluded.
6. In Volume 12, of the new document, the folder where Map 65
should be, refers to Map 49 which is the F-Seam 40 Year General
Mine Plan. However, the index lists Map 65 as a Mining Buffer Zone
Map. Please explain.
7. See page 32 of Appendix C in Volume 9, of the new binders, and
Volume 11 of the old binders. This page was replaced as a result
of TR 56 but has not been replaced in the new binders. Which page
is correct?
8. See Volume 11, Exhibit 50 (new), Volume 2A, Section 4.0 (old)
and Volume 14 (old); Water Augmentation Plan. Volume 11 and Volume
2A contain the same information, but Volume 14, which is an
adequacy response to MLRD, differs. The first part, up to page 20,
is the same as the other two volumes. However, the information
following and including page 20 is not in either volume. This
information seems to be the most current and should be included in
the new binder. If it is not, please explain.
