-3-
Exhibit A - Legal Description
1. It is understood that the legal description specified as the NW 1/4 of
the NE 1/4 of Section 28, T6S, R64W refers only to 60.98, not the
originally permitted 80 acres.
Exhibit C - Premining and Mining Plan Maps
1. The existing topsoil stockpile and the access road in the area excluded
from the application is required to be included in the permit.
According to the map scale, this portion of the topsoil stockpile
measures approximately 463 feet2 or approximately .O1 acres; the access
road measures approximately 1.3 acres. Please include these areas
within the permit boundary.
Exhibit D - Mining Plan
1. When directly backfilling topsoil during concurrent mining and
reclamation, please segregate topsoil (top 12"1 from overburden, placing
them as fill in the reverse order (i.e., overburden below topsoil (top
12")). The top 12" will provide better revegetation success than the
underlying material or a mixture of both. Please respond.
2. What is the volume of stockpiled topsoil?
Exhibit E - Reclamation Plan
1. The 18.207 acre triangle is disturbed by the presence of the topsoil
stockpile and the access road.
Exhibit L - Reclamation Costs
Please refer to "Cover Letter, "Modification of Bond" segment of this letter.
The technical revision is tentatively scheduled for the July 24-25, 1986 Board
Meeting. Please respond to these questions prior to July 24, 1986. If you
are unable to fully respond to this letter prior to the scheduled Board
consideration date, please contact me requesting continuance of Board
consideration to a later date.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
C~- ~ ~
Camille M. Farrell
Reclamation Specialist
CI4F/dlm
4003F
