Box 276 <br />Elizabeth, Colorado 80107 <br />Re: Succession of Operators from Terra Construction Company to <br />Miller-Birends Company, and Technical Revision to <br />Permit No. M-82-112, "Miller Pit". <br />Dear Mr. Hurst: <br />The technical revision and original permit information for the <br />above-captioned permit were received by the Division on July 14, 1986. <br />Thank you for the fine submittal and additional information. <br />Further clarification is needed prior to Board consideration of the <br />technical revision: <br />Cover Letter -Reduction in Cross Area <br />It is recognized that the technical revision decreases the gross <br />permitted area by 20.017 acres, from 80 acres to 60.98 acres <br />Cover Letter. "Modification of Bores" <br />1. Pursuant to Rule 2.12(4)(a)(i), stockpiles are considered "major <br />disturbance". <br />2. A. Bonding costs should include the replacement of the stockpiled <br />volume of topsoil, grading, scarification, and revegetation <br />efforts (fertilization and mulching). <br />B. Please provide stockpiled topsoil voltmte estimates. <br />C. The following costs of reclamation have been estimated from <br />the plan provided: <br />Topsoil replacement depth between 5" and 30"; avg. = 18" <br />18" x (5 acres x 43,560 sq.ft./acre) ®~.SO cu.yd. _ <br />1.5 ft. x 217,800 soft. = 12,100 cu.yd. ~ .80 = 59,680.00 <br />27 cu.ft./cu.yd. <br />
