OF MINERALS <br />8 GEOLOGY <br />Re: Amendment Application,Snowstorm Placer,M-83-084 <br />Dear Mr. Dillie: <br />In your letter dated September 18,1998 you listed a number <br />of items that need to be addressed in order to complete <br />the above referenced amendment to Snowstorms Permit M-83-084. <br />This letter,including the attached documentation,covers your <br />request in the order of items set out in your of September 18,1998. <br />1. Snowstorm affirms the statements under 1. in your letter be <br />~~ accurate and approves thereof. <br />2.The mining plan(Exihibit D)icluding an updated map is attached <br />to this latter.The tailings disposal system conveyors are mobile <br />and will be moved along the east wall of the pit in order to <br />~ continuously backfill the pit.The excavated material will not be <br />stockpiled but immediately be dumped to backfill the pit. <br />Mining will proceed in the following manner: <br />Reference is made to the attached mine plan map. <br />The current pit configuration attained a figure 8 shape with <br />a NW-SE trend.The water volume in the southerly part will be <br />pumped and discharged into the Middle Fork of the South Platte <br />River.
