The people <br />who worked on the submittal are commended for awell-organized, complete, and easy to review <br />cost estimate. <br />With reference to: <br />A. the cover letter <br />1. Page 2, regazding Section 9, the removal of costs anticipated for the work that was not <br />pursued will be addressed as a bond reduction. <br />2. Page 2, regarding Section 15, only minor re-contouring is illustrated on Map 35 (4/14/97) and <br />Map 36 (6/26/97) for the spill section in the vicinity of the north end wall (1000-foot squaze <br />north east of coordinates E 1350000 N337000). Reductions in the cost of reclamation activities <br />will be addressed as a bond reduction. <br />3. Page 2, regarding Section 16, the reduction in volume of overburden to be regraded in <br />conjunction with the change from a planned 2-pit operation to a I-pit operation will be addressed <br />as a bond reduction. <br />4. Page 2, regarding TR-31, any work required is incorporated into the submitted reclamation <br />estimate for the East Pit. <br />5. Page 2, regarding East and West Pit Drainage Cuts, some end wall excavation and re- <br />contouring is still required at the East Pit. The spill elevation from the reclaimed East Pit is <br />illustrated as between 7300 and 7325 on Map 36, 6/25/97. The worst case scenario spill <br />elevation is illustrated as between 7350 and 7375 on Map 35, 4/14/97 (see 1000-foot square to <br />
